How to add buttons in wordpress pages and posts

I was once like you when I don’t even know what a button is and how to add them to my wordpress blog, I searched for them on search engines and how to add them in wordpress but I did not get it because I did not use the right keywords to search for them.

I used to call them a small clickable image, it took me a while before I could know the name and add them to my blog easily. With my research I discovered that some wordpress beginners too want to add clickable buttons to their blogs but they don’t know how to go about it and I guess you are one! Don’t worry because this article will put an end to your problem on adding buttons in wordpress.

What are buttons? Buttons are boxes in wordpress that allow you to add more attention-calling links to your wordpress pages and posts.

This is a clickable button with icon!

Have you come across a contact form or any other form on other websites? You will see something like “submit, send, etc”, they are buttons!

There are several ways to create a button with link in wordpress but we will be considering only 3 here.

1) Add buttons with html code
The default way (but not the easiest way i must say) to add clickable buttons in wordpress is by adding codes, you will have to create an image (very small) by yourself that depicts want you want to use the buttin for. For example, if it is a facebook sharing button , you will create a facebook sharing button lookalike with photoshop or corel draw, alternatively you can download any copyright free image on Google.

The next step is to upload the image on your blog >> Go to the page where you want to insert it >> Click add media >> You will scroll down to where you will see insert link, paste the link to which you want your button to link to >>
Click Insert and that is all 😃

This is an example

This is the code, you can always tweak it by changing the Destination URL and image url if you think the steps above is stressful

2)You can do it by using a plugin known as shortcodes plugin
